Careerbuilder's mobile app has become a growing favorite on the Android market as well as iTunes. We've seen the app in action personally as job fairs all over the country have been recommending it lately. I was a business meeting the other day about reconditioning our hiring process when again the app was brought up by our Human Resources manager. Curious about the app I downloaded it and took it for a spin.
The first thing I can tell you is if you're going to use Careerbuilder, choose the app over the desktop. Why? The app gives you the ability to apply for jobs with a single tap. This gives the applicants an opportunity to increase their daily application output. In seconds, you can have multiple applications sent simply by having your resume uploaded.
Granted we haven't tried the Monster, Indeed or Craigslist apps but Careerbuilder left little room for improvement. The only difference between the apps you should see is mainly the diversity and possibly the volume. Maybe that's a reason to check out the other apps? Surely, but this app was definitely worth mentioning. At the download being no cost to you, and being add free, it's a no-brainer. Even if you hate Careerbuilder, you owe it to yourself to expand your reach if you're serious about finding a job.
